In the history of professional basketball it’s hard to believe no player has ever been voted unanimously as the most valuable player (MVP). Think about the great players that has played the game. That includes Michael Jordan, Magic
Johnson, Hakeem Olajuwon, Bill Russell, Wilt Chamballein, Labron James and the list goes on and on. That elusive title of unanimous MVP ended today when Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors was named as the unanimous most valuable player for the 2015-16 season. Curry takes place among greats with second MVP
The NBA MVP trophy isn’t the only place Steph Curry’s name should be engraved today.It’s time to add him to the list of the greatest to ever play the game. Bill Russell. Wilt Chamberlain. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Larry Bird. Magic Johnson. Michael Jordan. Kobe Bryant. LeBron James.Steph Curry.In an 18-hour span, Curry ended what feeble arguments were left about where he ranks in history. Returning from a Grade 1 MCL sprain, he dropped 40 points on the Portland Trail Blazers and flirted with a triple-double to move the Golden State Warriors within a game of the Western Conference finals. (Just imagine what he’ll do once he knocks the rust off.)
