Why Do Human Suffer? Job 1:1

1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and turned away from evil.
Job 1:1

The question of human suffering can be understood by studying the book of Job in the scripture. Why do people suffer? why do we get sick and suffer all the hardships even when we try everything possible to live a good life? God declared Job to be a perfect and upright man and yet he suffered and lost everything imaginable. Reading that chapter in the bible tells me that God allowed Job to suffer when the devil attacked him. That right there explains that Satan is the source of human suffering but it can only happen if God allows Satan to have his way. Then that brings another important question which is why then would a loving God allow Satan to inflict pain and suffering on humanity? All we can say is that God is loving and Almighty and as human we can’t explain why God does certain things. But with faith we can certainly believe that God’s purpose for humanity is ultimately for our good.
